South Asian Cities Summit 201325 February 2013
South Asian Cities Summit 2013 is going to be held on 17-18 April 2013 at Hotel Imperial, New Delhi, India.
Urban areas are responsible for a significant portion of CO2 emissions; Cities consume 75% of the world's energy and are responsible for 80 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions. Energy is widely viewed as the lifeline of cities, powering public services, hospitals, and schools while moving people within the city and beyond.
The Summit is an opportunity to:
Network with key city officials, heads of development authorities and top industry and academic players from the energy and environment sector from south Asian and European countries;
Share views with Speakers expected from organisations like KFW, GIZ, Adelphi, WADE, USA, Bradford University, Solar Cube - Germany, Centre for Sustainable Environments , Clean Energy Nepal , AMTL, Sustainable Environment Resource Institute, Global Sustainable Energy Solutions, Climate Connect - UK and many others;
